Evolution and Advancements in ECG Device Technology
摘要
The inception of the ECG machine, a monumental achievement, is attributed to the pioneering efforts of Dutch physiologist Einthoven. In the year 1903, Einthoven unveiled the world’s first practical ECG apparatus. His work extended further in 1908 when he formally introduced the concept of standard limb leads and Einthoven’s equilateral triangle theory. These contributions not only laid the foundation for ECG theory but also established enduring principles that continue to shape ECG practice. This invention marked a paradigm shift, revolutionizing the landscape of cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment.
