The connection between cultural heritage and sustainable development has been debated among various stakeholders for a long time, considering cultural, social, and economic factors and environmental concerns. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations have placed a high priority on cultural heritage, acknowledging the economic factors that shape conservation decisions. This aligns with international charters that focus on preserving and restoring monuments. Agreeing with heritage possession of (tangible and intangible) values, economists argue about converting and translating these values (aesthetic, social, etc.) into monetary terms, considering Heritage is frequently perceived as a hindrance to economic progress, even though cultural heritage and its conservation can yield a variety of economic benefits: income and job creation, reuse. The impact of this economic thinking poses a severe challenge to cultural safeguarding and management. This paper thoroughly examines the literature on sustainable development, SD goals, cultural heritage, and cultural heritage conservation and management. At this point, numerous researches were related to the paper’s point of view when doing a measurable literature assessment of Research Gate, Scopus, and the Web of Science databases using search terms such as “Sustainable Heritage development” and “Heritage urban management,” effective sources have been chosen which were published entirely in the last two years, to propose a strategy for conservative management of Heritage sustainably.

摘要
