Compact Circular Patch Grid Array Antenna for Medical Imaging Applications

The proliferation of wireless communication technologies has generated an increasing need for compact yet high-performing antennas across a range of applications, including medical imaging. The development of innovative solutions is thus required. The present study introduces a recently devised circular patch grid array antenna that has been purpose-built for utilisation in the field of medical imaging. By integrating innovative design components, this antenna surpasses previous methods in critical aspects including gain, bandwidth, and radiation pattern characteristics. The aforementioned elements are critical in guaranteeing reliable wireless communication in medical equipment. The antenna exhibits outstanding performance in accordance with the rigorous requirements of medical imaging systems due to its utilisation of microstrip antenna technology and the placement of parasitic patches in strategic locations. In order to achieve the specified performance goals, the design procedure utilises rigorous mathematical modelling and simulation tools, which facilitate accurate parameter modification. Simulation analyses have provided evidence of substantial progress in the domains of radiation efficiency and directivity, exceeding benchmarks that were previously set. This research, with only minor deviations, establishes the groundwork for future developments in the field of medical imaging antenna design and represents a substantial paradigm shift.
