On the Principle of Identity
摘要
I discuss the Aristotelian principle of identity and how it does not fit with the complexity of God, the Holy Qur’an, and Islam not to mention the Islamic philosophy. Moreover, the way most Muslim scholars overgeneralise the principle of non-contradiction; seems to be consistent with the way William of Soisson promotes his principle of explosion (ex contradictione quodlibet). However, Aristotle himself emphasises on several occasions that his principles of logic are not for all areas of investigations but it is limited only to some finite and constant domains.
