摘要

The use of green, renewable, and sustainable materials has grown in importance in recent years for the production of a wide range of high-value goods with low environmental impacts. Cellulose is the most prevalent polymer on Earth, making it a vital raw resource for a variety of applications. However, cellulose has demonstrated its adaptability in a variety of applications. It can also be chemically changed to produce cellulose derivatives. These are used extensively in many different industrial sectors and serve as a source of basic goods. Due to its limited solubility, cellulose has proven difficult to use as a material source, particularly in the chemical industry. This chapter aims to explore scientific advances in all cellulose-related materials such as microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), and nanocellulose, ranging from synthesis to processes and a variety of applications. The main goal is to extract all of these biochemicals and determine their applications.
