Green chemistry, also known as sustainable chemistry, focuses on designing products and processes that minimize the use and generation of hazardous substances. When applied to urban waste reduction, green chemistry principles can contribute to creating more sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management practices. Environmental injustices have made it clear that our current system, which places a disproportionate amount of risk and burden on the poor, is unsustainable and depends on hazardous and polluting chemicals and chemicals. By altering the very nature of the molecular (chemical, material, and energy) foundation of our economy and society, green chemistry and related approaches—which aim for effective interventions to create system-wide change—are potent leverage points to deeply address environmental injustices. This eliminates the need to rely on procedural systems that can either facilitate progress or impede it. Assembling target chemicals from several genuine samples is sample preparation, one of the most difficult and time-consuming steps in analytical processes. Therefore, it makes sense that sample preparation is regarded as a crucial step in the analytical procedure. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the use and advancement of sample preparation techniques. The development of green analytical methods is the primary driving force behind the improvement of conventional sample preparation procedures. Recently, the field of analytical chemistry has focused on how to prepare samples using environmentally friendly solvents. In the context of green analytical chemistry, the current paper examines the state of the art and future directions, with a focus on green switchable solvent (SS)-based ecologically friendly sample preparation techniques.
