Analyzing the Role of IoT and Big Data in Circular Supply Chains Using a Comparative Study on Text Mining/Topic Modeling and an Industrial Case Study
摘要
The Circular Supply Chain is a growing trend in manufacturing and industrial sectors, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies to improve quality, performance, and sustainability-focused decision-making. Despite its importance, there has been limited exploration into how digital technologies practically address the main challenges of the circular supply chain. To bridge this gap, this paper provides an in-depth analysis of barriers within circular supply chains, examining 24 articles on supply chain management, the Internet of Things, Big Data and Analytics, and Cloud Computing in the context of circular economy. Utilizing Structural Topic Modeling (STM) for text mining, this study identifies crucial thematic topics and barriers. Additionally, this paper delves into a case study of a company leveraging IoT, Big Data and Analytics, and Cloud Computing, to understand their role in overcoming circular supply chain challenges. The findings of this empirical investigation offer insights into the effectiveness of selected digital technologies in addressing these challenges.
