It is possible to set up and launch mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) quickly and easily. Routing protocols that are reliable and energy-efficient pose one of the biggest challenges in these networks. It is necessary to implement a multicast routing protocol that is efficient and reliable in MANETs due to their limited resources. An energy-aware multipath routing protocol is proposed in this paper based on link stability and reliability. From the source node to a group of destination nodes, the proposed scheme performs better than ODMRP and finds energy-efficient multicast routes. Compared with ODMRP, EODMRP, and LSMRP routing algorithms, the proposed scheme outperforms them.
