Relying on the construction of regional smart education projects, the school explores a comprehensive evaluation system in the era of big data that can comprehensively capture the growth process of students and highlight their developmental milestones. Through continuous exploration, practice, and improvement, the school has established a digital portrait based on the Shanchang Comprehensive Quality Evaluation Platform. This portrait, which comprehensively presents students’ growth status at each stage, is generated through the daily evaluation data from teachers, students, and parents. The creation of this portrait is essentially different from teachers’ subjective ratings of students at different stages. It originates from students’ daily behaviors and is not influenced by subjective impressions from teachers or parents, thus avoiding biases caused by stereotypes. It is a comprehensive record of students’ learning conditions both inside and outside the school, scientifically presenting their true growth status. By breaking away from the framework of traditional paper-based evaluations, the digital portrait leverages the smart platform to achieve a combination of process evaluation and terminal evaluation, qualitative evaluation, and quantitative evaluation, effectively presenting students’ growth curves, highlighting their growth strengths, and revealing their stage-specific weaknesses.
