The determinants of virulence and mechanisms of pathogenesis employed by the bacterium are briefly highlighted including Type III secretion system, effector translocation, and quorum sensing. Further, an overview on epidemiology and management of the bacterial pustule disease via conventional, modern, and innovative approaches is presented, besides highlighting the need for convergence of the cutting-edge research and practical approaches to mitigate the impact of disease has also been highlighted.
