Secured Watermarking Framework Using Cryptography and Pixel Scheming
摘要
A novel watermarking mechanism based on bit encryption and pixel scheming is proposed in this work. The model, consisting of two modules, handles the encryption and decryption of the watermark in the host image. The encryption module randomly selects the pixels from the original image by a non-repetitive pseudo-random number generator. Then, a symmetric key cryptography mechanism performs the encryption of a watermark image by altering the bits with the help of XOR and complement operations. The watermark is then concealed inside the carrier image by substituting the original least significant pixel bits with the encrypted watermark pixel bits. The decryption module extracts the watermark by undergoing bit substitution and symmetric key decryption. Experiments are performed to measure the efficiency of the developed system with several performance indicators. The suggested model yields fine-quality encrypted images along with a good payload factor. A comparative performance analysis with four existing mechanisms has been presented to establish the efficacy of the developed model.
