Data has become everything. Everything is being digitized, i.e., being put on a computer, which in turn is being put on the Internet. User data of millions and billions of people are constantly on the Internet via their devices. It makes it easier for the user to access the data anywhere they desire. Cloud refers to a place where the data is stored, and cloud computing refers to various operations that can be done on these data. But one of the most important problems of putting data online is that it can be accessed by the attackers which can cause harm to the privacy and security of an individual. Such attacks are famously referred to as hacking. The hackers hack into the personal data of users of multinational companies and compromise their privacy and safety. This can become catastrophic. Hence, the concept of cryptography came along. Cryptography mainly refers to the encoding and decoding of data in such a way that it becomes hard for the attackers or hackers to get these data. Encrypting and decrypting data is used for increasing the security of the data. Various algorithms have been proposed for this purpose in the past. Using all these algorithms along with a capable cloud computing platform such as AWS can really provide a very good sense of security.
