People-Centred Urbanization and Poverty Alleviation Through Urbanization

At present, China is actively promoting a new type of “people-centred” urbanization. The government needs to incorporate rural poverty alleviation and poverty removal into the development of urbanization, and then better guide and help the rural poor population to work in cities and therefor eradicate poverty. Consequently, with the further advance of the new people-centred urbanization, cities need to emphasize the problem of “metastatic poverty” in rural areas. Moreover, it is more efficient for urban society to solve the problem of poverty because it embraces greater financial resources than rural government, so this should become the main position in efforts to reduce the impoverished population.
