Farmers’ Actions and Choices in the Process of People-Centred Urbanization
摘要
In the process of people-centred urbanization, farmers are confronted with the decision of whether to move to urban areas or to remain in rural regions. Research has indicated that, through their actions and choices, farmers exhibit a distinct inclination towards urbanization, viewing it as a pragmatic move and adapting their actions based on the progression and trajectory of urbanization. Although a significant proportion of the actions taken by farmers within the context of urbanization deviate from conventional approaches, encompassing numerous innovations and constraints, the overall direction of their actions is consistent. Furthermore, the “unintended consequences” of such actions contribute positively to the advancement of new urbanization and the transformation of farmers’ identities.
