Practical Aspect of Handling the Use of Cellulases in the Textile Industry
摘要
The sources of fossil fuels are diminishing at a very high rate, developing a dire situation that has caught the interest of scientists. Biofuel generation from organic and biomass materials is an alternative source to fossil fuel sources as they are comparatively less expensive. According to research conducted worldwide, cellulase production reaches 8% required by the industry, but in the future, the market will reach US$ 400 million by the year 2020. The focus of investigations globally is on developing new technologies for the efficient use of novel biomass that could produce a variety of cheap and bulk biofuels. These enzymes have remarkable applications in many industries for efficient conversion of the polymer. The primary barrier to success, despite the massive amount of research being done, is the expensive price of cellulases, which makes it necessary to either find commercially viable methods including the repurposing of the enzymes or reduce their production costs.
