Future Trends
摘要
Faraday lasers use the atomic transition lines in atomic filters as the frequency selection references. The output laser frequency can intrinsically align with the atomic transition frequency, thus achieving more reliable frequency stability. With the advantages of narrow linewidth, wavelength intrinsically corresponding to atomic transitions, and immunity to fluctuations of laser diode temperature and current, it has gradually become a research hotspot globally. In the future, Faraday lasers are expected to become the frontier high-end instrument in frequency-stabilized diode lasers, with applications involving quantum precision measurements and basic research of time, frequency, gravity, magnetic field, length, angle, and other parameters. The previous chapters of this book have detailed the research process of Faraday lasers, including basic principles, implementation methods, current research status, and applications. This chapter mainly introduces the latest research directions and future development strategies of Faraday lasers for specific potential innovative technology solutions, functions, and application scenarios.
