Faraday Laser Scheme and Technology

Faraday laser uses a laser diode coated with an antireflection film as the gain medium, and a Faraday atomic filter as the frequency selection device. The laser frequency intrinsically corresponds to the atomic transition lines. Due to its significant quantum frequency selection technology, the Faraday laser has become increasingly important in the field of frequency-stabilized lasers. It has become a frequency-stabilized diode laser technology scheme with significant advantages, and has been widely used in atomic clocks, interferometers, gravimeters and other quantum precision measurement fields. It has significantly improved the technical level of related system equipment, and can further be extended to precision spectroscopy, atomic physics, atomic radar, laser weapons and other fields in the future. In this chapter, we introduce the overall technical scheme, optical cavity, circuit system, and main performance indicators of the Faraday laser.
