Continuous Atmospheric Circulation Anomalies (1)—Dynamic Mechanism of Blocking Situation

  • Chongyin Li

摘要

The continuous anomaly of the atmospheric circulation is defined as an anomaly in which the atmospheric circulation duration exceeds the weather scale change for a fixed location. In the northern hemisphere atmosphere, there are three regions with higher frequency of persistent anomalies, which are separately located in the North Pacific to the south of Aleutian, the North Atlantic to the southeast of Greenland, and the northern part of the former Soviet Union.
