Spatial Patterns of Literacy Rate and Sex Ratio for Sustainable Education: A Case Study from Ajmer District

The tool of education has transformed the barbaric clan of the world into a prosperous human civilization. Sustainable education is a need of society that is directly associated with female enrollment. Pertinently, out of the total population of India, the female population is almost 50%, as such, the sex ratio plays a vital role in the sustainable educational development of the country. Literacy is a cardinal demographic element of human progress. It remains an indispensable ingredient that shapes human character, and social and economic development. Besides, the sex ratio is such a demographic parameter that reflects the real picture of society. The patriarchal dominant society has led women to face multifarious challenges in their families and society across the nation. The present study is an attempt to bring forth the correlation between the literacy rate and the sex ratio of Ajmer district for the purpose of sustainable education.
