Our research presents an innovative e-health governance framework tailored to addressing the challenges of respiratory diseases, notably asthma. Developed in collaboration with the Pulmonology Department of the Oran University Hospital, Algeria. The proposed framework combines advanced technologies such as the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), Edge-Fog-Cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, highlighting federated learning methodologies. Our architecture allows real-time monitoring of asthma exacerbation severity and predicts hospitalization outcomes using electronic medical records (EMR). This system is distributed across strategically located fog nodes. As we progress to the implementation phase, our objectives encompass improving scalability, security, and interoperability, all while ensuring compliance with regulatory benchmarks like HIPAA. Through the integration of various technologies, our proposed framework marks a substantial advancement in making healthcare more accessible and propelling research in respiratory medicine.
