The implementation of load shifting on flexible loads in collaboration with Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and utility to keep the overall price as low as possible in the deregulated electricity market by scheduling the VPP, utility, and flexible loads. In this paper, Photovoltaic (PV), Micro Turbine (MT), Wind Turbine (WT), Battery Energy Storage (BES), and Fuel Cell (FC) are all part of VPP. This study describes a mechanism for coordinating the VPP and the utility to satisfy flexible load requirements in three different test scenarios. The problem is defined as a linear optimization problem, and it is addressed using the Archimedes Optimization Algorithm (AOA), which was recently invented. Here, the flexible loads are shifted from peak-load hours to base-load hours. The proposed problem is based on a power system integrating VPP (renewable sources and battery storage units) and utility under three different scenarios. Further, AOA’s search capability is also compared with other modern approaches.
