Numerical Simulation Analysis of Flow Control Effect of Harbor Seal Whisker Model Under Different Reynolds Numbers

This article uses CFD calculations to numerically simulate the wake field of the spotted seal whisker model, combines the plane vorticity distribution diagrams of the cylindrical and elliptical cylinder models and analyzes according to the criteria, and observes the tail flow of the spotted seal whisker structure model under different Reynolds number conditions. The flow field is used to reveal its flow characteristics and flow control effect. It can be seen that this structure can reduce drag and suppress lift fluctuations, and has better effects under low Reynolds number conditions.
