In many industries of the national economy, the problem of material optimization layout will be encountered. In this paper, the layout problem of two-dimensional guillotine-cutting stock is studied, and the related concepts of the same-shape block and the same-shape section are proposed. To improve the efficiency of layout, the standard dimension of same-shape block and the standard dimension of same-shape section are proposed. By applying the standard dimension, the calculation speed and the efficiency of the algorithm will be improved effectively.
