Research on the Structural Safety Performance of Front Fan-Shaped Energy-Saving Duct

Whether the structural design of an energy saving duct is reasonable is crucial to its own safety and that of the stern. Taking the front-mounted scalloped duct of a certain type of bulk carrier as the research object, load calculation and reasonable load combination design are carried out according to its actual working conditions, and the safety performance of the structure is evaluated through strength analysis, modal analysis and fatigue analysis. The results show that the structural design of the sector duct is reasonable and meets the requirements of strength and fatigue, and can avoid the occurrence of resonance phenomena, and that the bumping load on the duct from wave loads in rough sea conditions is an important factor to be considered in the structural design of the duct.
