With the Internet’s rapid expansion, the demand for robust authentication methods has grown exponentially, driven by the vulnerabilities of traditional approaches to hacking and identity theft. The paper introduces an advanced authentication solution based on domain names, integrating blockchain technology through MetaMask. Leveraging MetaMask’s accessibility to Ethereum-based decentralized applications, our proposed solution combines blockchain’s security and decentralization with the user-friendly nature of MetaMask, providing a secure and efficient alternative to conventional authentication methods. The paper details the architectural framework and implementation specifics, supported by comprehensive simulations and experiments demonstrating the solution’s effectiveness. Results affirm its ability to deliver secure and efficient user authentication, mitigating risks associated with hacking and identity theft. The integration of blockchain and MetaMask not only enhances security but also prioritizes user convenience, offering a novel approach that significantly reduces the susceptibility to domain name hacking and phishing attacks.
