MATLAB-Based Application for Efficient Huntington’s Disease Screening

Huntington’s Disease (HD) is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by the dysfunction of the basal ganglia in the human brain. As HD is an inherited disease, HD screening plays an important role in early detection and treatment. However, the availability of an HD-associated gene analysis program is limited to the public. Therefore, we aim to develop a published application capable of performing HD screening of large-scale datasets and establishing databases for screening profiles. Here we describe a comprehensive HD screening program that encompasses gene sequence analysis, database creation, and individual data visualization. We further demonstrate its efficiency in processing extensive datasets. By providing the HTT gene analysis, our program aids in cutting the cost of the HD screening service.
