Dynamics of a Within-Host HIV Infection Model with Adaptive Immunity

In this paper, we present a within-host HIV infection model with adaptive immunity by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and antibodies, and investigate its dynamics. We establish the well-posedness of the model through non-negativity and boundedness of its solutions. Five threshold indicators in terms of reproduction numbers are identified for the existence of five possible equilibria. Further, the results regarding local stability, transcritical and Hopf bifurcations of the equilibria are established with the help of linear analysis and are verified through numerical simulations. Finally, we provide a brief discussion to conclude the study.
