Modeling and Loss Calculation for Eddy Current Field of Wound Cores in Traction Transformers

This chapter introduces the techniques employed for the analysis of eddy current fields and the calculation of associated losses within the context of large-scale wound core. These methodologies form the theoretical bedrock upon which the design of the core segment in large-scale wound core traction transformers is built.
