Designing and Optimisation of Microgrid with Green Energy Source for Efficient Power Supply
摘要
Remote places are intended to receive steady power delivery from microgrids and hybrid green energy systems. There is not much grid power in rural places. In order to meet the village's varied load demands and provide continuous electricity, a hybrid system comprising a solar PV system, wind turbine, diesel generator, battery storage system, converter, and other components is being constructed for Doddi Palli hamlet in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. The best system was built using HOMER software after an optimisation procedure, techno-economic, and environmental studies were completed. Winter load demand is 285.14 kWh/day, whereas summer load demand is approximately 373.3 kWh/day. The top 4 designs are considered for use in the case studies after the HOMER software generates a variety of potential designs. The lowest LCOE (0.403 $/kWh), the lowest NPC ($710.422), and the highest RF proportion (89.7%) are compared to determine the best system (PV/WT/DG/BT). As a standalone system, the suggested design includes a 60 KW solar photovoltaic system, a 5 kW wind turbine, a 76 KW diesel generator, and a 100 KW converter with 363 battery units. Detailed sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the optimal system configuration change, with the small variation input variables. The crux of this research is based on providing low-cost electricity to the people living in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh.
