IoT in Agriculture: Solving Agricultural Issues Using Internet of Things

摘要

Agriculture has been practiced for more than 12,000 years, beginning with the Neolithic period and continuing with traditional methods. India is primarily an agrarian country with cultivation heavily dependent on weather, soil, and environmental factors. Our farmers now use the most modern technologies in agriculture. IoT solutions have been successfully implemented in several areas around the world. Indian farmers need to implement smart farming technologies to increase crop productivity. Farmers can improve production by using data from sensors, controllers, and electrical devices to monitor their crops. Smart Agriculture uses sensors to predict weather data and activate pump motors based on soil moisture levels, which are then processed by an Arduino UNO module. The intelligent farming system uses network technologies to enable remote control. Combining smart agriculture with AI research can lead to state-of-the-art technologies for data collection and resource efficiency. Pest and insect control can protect crops and optimize resource use, leading to breakthroughs. Internet of Things (IoT) incorporation into the agricultural sector has paved the way for progress in sustainable computing. Through the utilization of interconnected devices, data analysis, and automation, farmers can efficiently allocate resources, minimize ecological consequences, and encourage environmentally conscious farming methods. With the progression of technology, the integration of IoT and sustainability in agriculture foresees a future marked by increased accuracy, efficiency, and a dedication to preserving the environment, all in response to the needs of our growing global populace.
