Revolutionizing Healthcare Worldwide: IoT Devices—Feasibility, Accessibility, and Future
摘要
The healthcare industry has experienced a revolution in recent times due to innovations in emerging technologies, mainly the Internet of Things (IoT). The recent outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and increased interest in smart health has also played a great role in transforming the healthcare industry. This paper examines the effects of integrating IoT devices into healthcare and assesses their efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility as compared with conventional healthcare techniques. The study also analyzes the efficiency metrics and availability aspects compared to normal healthcare services. An implementation test-bed has been prepared using ECG and SpO2 sensor with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and LCD module. Multiple sensors allow comprehensive monitoring of patient health and help to study the integration of IoT and cloud computing in healthcare. Results from this research demonstrate that there is scope of using IoT devices in healthcare for better performance, access improvement, and great advancements concerning patient care. Incorporation of IoT devices into healthcare services will make it easy for patients to manage their health as well as doctors being able to monitor the patients’ health remotely leading to improved care with personalized attention. The integration of IoT devices into healthcare services and the broader digitalization trend represent a significant paradigm shift, positioning healthcare as a pivotal growth area in the global healthcare market. This shift will be fuelled by advancements in machine learning and deep learning technology, promising enhanced effectiveness and convenience for patients.
