This research paper shall undertake a comprehensive comparative analysis of recidivism in juvenile delinquency in India and the United States, with a specific emphasis on understanding the reoccurrence of offenses committed by juveniles as they transition into adulthood. The study aims to explore key facets of recidivism, including the percentage of offenders engaging in criminal activities after reaching adulthood, the causes behind juvenile offenses during their minority and into adulthood, legislative measures adopted to address this issue, and amendments in statutory provisions within both countries. The research will employ a multidimensional approach by incorporating the perspectives of key stakeholders involved in the juvenile justice system. The respondents, including police, officers of reformation homes, parents, and juveniles themselves, will contribute valuable insights to form a holistic understanding of the factors influencing recidivism. In accordance with the data collection, the research shall be facilitated through a Google survey and interview, allowing for efficient and widespread participation. The survey will be tailored to elicit responses pertaining to the aforementioned research objectives, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive dataset. The collected data will be rigorously analyzed to draw meaningful conclusions and insights.
