Integrating RFID Technology with Student Information Systems for Enhanced Management of Attendance and Financial Records

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based student ID system for monitoring attendance records and fee dues. The proposed system utilizes RFID technology to track the movement of students as they enter and exit various locations on campus. The system also allows for the automated tracking of fee payments, providing real-time updates on student account balances. The paper describes the design and implementation of the system, including hardware and software components, as well as the integration with existing student information systems. Results from a pilot study are presented, demonstrating the effectiveness and efficiency of the system in accurately recording attendance and fee payment data. The proposed RFID-based student ID system has the potential to significantly improve the management of student attendance and financial records, leading to increased accountability and streamlined administrative processes.
