Campaign Situation Prediction Method Based on Discontinuous Lanchester

Campaign situation prediction is an important part of situation awareness and the core work of intelligence analysis, which is of great significance for campaign operations. In this paper, a method of campaign situation prediction based on discontinuous Lanchester equation is proposed. A discontinuous Lanchester equation is constructed for important events that can affect the law of battlefield situation change, and Lanchester is extended for force changes, effectiveness changes, and mode changes. Research cases are constructed, and the method was verified. This method has the advantages of simplicity, intuition, and ease of implementation, and can quickly predict the battle situation based on changes in the campaign situation.
