Design Evolution of Coolant Passage for Cooling a Substrate by a Single Stream
摘要
The temperature and pressure drop across the embedded pipes of different configurations have been computed numerically by solving the conservation laws for mass momentum and energy in a finite volume framework. Four different configurations have been evolved to compare the best configuration to impart a minimum temperature of a heated square substrate. Among these designs, we found that the pentagonal design attains a minimum temperature as well as pressure drop, and hence declared as the best design among all the considered designs.
