Supportive and Palliative Care in Breast Cancer

Palliative care is an essential component of breast cancer management especially in advanced and metastatic settings. The goal is to relieve symptoms and prevent rapid deterioration of quality of life. Formerly, palliative care was offered only after all therapeutic options had been exhausted, but current guidelines recommend integrating palliative care earlier [1].
