摘要

Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBC) lack expression of estrogen, progesterone, and Her-2-neu receptors and account for approximately 15% of all breast cancers diagnosed [1, 2]. TNBC has an aggressive tumor biology and occurs in a younger cohort of population with a high propensity to present with locally advanced and distant metastatic disease. TNBC tends to have unique disease biology and molecular perturbations with the need for aggressive multimodality treatment approaches. In this chapter, we will discuss the epidemiology, biological behavior, and management approaches of TNBC.
