Chemoprevention in Breast Cancer
摘要
To prevent, inhibit or reverse the carcinogenesis process using drugs is called chemoprevention. The aim is to identify women with high risk of developing breast cancer and provide chemoprevention to these group. Various risk-defining models like the Gail model, Tyrer-Cuzick (IBIS) model and Claus model are available to predict the risk of breast cancer in the population. The breast cancer risk-reducing agents available are tamoxifen, raloxifene, exemestane and anastrozole.
