Epidemiology of Breast Cancer

Incidence of breast cancer is increasing, and has now become the most common malignancy worldwide.Owing to improvements in diagnostic and treatment modalities, breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer which is a major cause of concern. Many modifiable and non-modifiable factors have been found to be associated with breast cancer. In this review, we have discussed the epidemiology of breast cancer with an emphasis on current trends and estimated projections in India and have briefly described the risk factors associated with it.
