Automated Inventory Movement in Retail Using Augmented Reality and RFID
摘要
Inventory management is a critical aspect of retail success, impacting everything from customer satisfaction to profitability. Traditional methods often rely on manual counts and barcode scanning, which are time-consuming, prone to errors, and lack real-time data. This research paper explores the potential of combining Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies to automate inventory tracking and management in retail stores. We examine the benefits and limitations of RFID and AR, analyze existing literature on their integration, and propose a framework for an RFID-AR inventory management system. The paper discusses the potential impact of this system on various aspects of retail operations, including inventory accuracy, stock control, loss prevention, and customer experience. Finally, we explore future research directions and address challenges associated with implementing this technology combination.
