Rise of Post-monsoon Temperature Due to Climate Change Over the Brahmaputra River Basin
摘要
Industrial revolution is considered as the prime factor for the rapid accumulation of greenhouse gases, thereby leading to a change in the global climate pattern. This study is presented to evaluate the changing climate and its following impacts over the Brahmaputra River basin. The likely trend of the daily maximum temperature during the post-monsoon season is predicted for the twenty-first century. The interpolated and bias-corrected Global Climate Model data was tested for its significance using the Mann–Kendall test and the changing trend was evaluated to understand the future climate till 2100. The results exhibit a fair prediction of the future climate during the post-monsoon season. The daily maximum temperature during the future periods is likely to increase upto + 6.5% w.r.to the base year 2020.
