Lymphatic Anatomy
摘要
The lymph nodes along the left side of the abdominal aorta are arranged from the diaphragmatic aortic hiatus superiorly to the continuation with the left common iliac lymph nodes inferiorly at the termination of the abdominal aorta. These lymph nodes primarily collect lymphatic fluid from the para-aortic region, uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other organs in the abdomen. The efferent lymphatic vessels from the lymph nodes located on the outer side of the aorta form the left lumbar lymph trunk (Figs. 3.1 and 3.2) [1, 2].
