Digital Pattern-Making Techniques

However, technological advancement and digitalization played a significant role in patternmaking. Nowadays, digital and advanced methods are widely being used to make the 2D and 3D apparel patterns with accuracy and consistency. In the garment industry, various types of software are being used to create patterns, manage designs, and simplify the production process. Software-based tools help designers, patternmakers, and manufacturers in creating accurate patterns, grading, and fit evaluation. In this chapter, we have described the software-based advanced technologies that are currently being used in garment industries and have made work easier, efficient, and accurate.
