Common Sports, Muscular, and Ligamentous Injuries
摘要
Common sports-related injuries include shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, tennis elbow, groin and hamstring strains, knee ligament injuries, ankle sprains, and Lisfranc injuries. These typically result from overuse, poor warm-up, sudden movements, or trauma. Symptoms often include pain, swelling, bruising, restricted movement, and joint instability. Initial management involves rest, cold compress, analgesics (e.g., NSAIDs), physiotherapy, and functional support (e.g., braces, crutches). Imaging such as X-rays or MRI helps exclude fractures or severe damage. Referral is warranted when symptoms persist, or for suspected structural injuries like syndesmotic tears, talar dome lesions, or Lisfranc fractures requiring surgical repair.
