摘要

A Comprehensive investigation of RFID Mifare tags in association with toll booth systems, a revolutionary technology is envisioned to enhance the efficiency. Any vehicle with FASTag, when nears the toll area, the reading range is considered mandatory to identify the vehicle and deduct the required toll fee from the bank account, enabling a swift and smooth transaction. However, a challenge arises in terms of components such as RFID FASTags and readers, which are affixed to vehicles and may contribute to traffic congestion. To address this issue, this study investigates various identification ranges, ranging from 0.2 cm to 1 m, between vehicle tags and readers. It achieves this by utilizing high-frequency Mifare tags. The proposed hardware model, featuring Mifare tags, sheds light on the maximum reading range achievable when vehicles approach toll booths. Additionally, it offers insights into the closest available car parking slots in proximity to toll collection points. Leveraging a high-frequency 13.5 MHz RFID system and Mifare tags integrated with centralized databases and backend systems, this approach ensures real-time data synchronization, ultimately optimizing the efficiency of the entire toll network and reducing traffic congestion. Moreover, by simply swapping the Mifare tag relative to the vehicle, users can effortlessly access information about the nearest available car parking.
