Intelligent Estimation of Routing Path of Homogeneous Droplets in DMFB

Digital microfluidic biochip is a current technology and a type of micro-electromechanical system that is an alternative of age-old laboratory based on liquid particles for clinical diagnostics. It consists of a 2D array of electrodes where nano-liter volume of droplets can be transported. In case of homogeneous droplet transportation, our aim is to use the same route path by allowing the detour of one cell (if required) and increasing the number of contaminations for minimizing the use of electrodes. In this work, an efficient homogeneous droplet routing algorithm in Digital Micro-Fluidic Biochip has been proposed to ensure the reduction of cost in droplet transportation and validated the algorithm by standard datasets.
