Zimbabwean Illegal Immigrants on South African Border Security

Stanley Osezua Ehiane, Keratilwe Bodilenyane, Leonard Lenna Sesa and Tendai Nciizah pointed out in Chapter 7 the impact of Zimbabwean illegal immigrants on South African border security. Illegal immigration has become a major threat to the border security of South Africa as Zimbabwean illegal immigrants bring economic, political, and social ramifications. South Africa has become the most targeted country in the southern region and is currently experiencing a high number of irregular migrations of unauthorized people and goods from neighboring countries within the SADC region and other African countries. Zimbabwe remains the largest contributor of irregular migrants to South Africa.
