According to Records of the Grand Historian: Biography of Lord Chunshen, “Travel more, study more because only by seeing and experiencing one can be a well-learned man.” There are also sayings from History of the North Dynasties: Biography of Fan Shen like “Traveling among cities in Shanxi, studying astronomy and arithmetic” “Read thousand of books and travel thousand of miles”, which have come down through the past to today and become the well-known maxims. Thus, our ancestors have practiced the study tour in several millennium history.
