Structural and Functional Features of the Synthetic Benchmark

Studying the conditions for the emergence of parallel (overlapping) threads based on computational blocks is an important task of synthetic benchmarks. The high intensity of parallel threads, caused by natural or artificial reasons, leads to the development of performance bottlenecks and software and hardware failures. Therefore, defining the basic foundations and formalizing knowledge about the mechanisms of occurrence and development of performance bottlenecks based on asynchronous processes (parallel threads) represent essential research. At the same time, the basis of the research in this work is a description of the possibilities of using synthetic benchmarks based on the design of their structural and functional characteristics. The work presents models of synchronous and asynchronous threads and conditions for their determination based on the collision factor.
