Performance Appraisal Using Leach Protocol in Wireless Energy Harvesting System

IoT is a huge network that interconnects sensors to the Internet with the help of some communication protocols. Monitoring the environment with the help of the sensor has grown rapidly in recent years, where energy efficiency is crucial. However, there are always solutions to support the WSNs (Kumar et al. in 2022 7th international conference on computing, communication and security (ICCCS). IEEE, pp 1–6, 2004, [1]). The networks can harvest energy from environments around since many wireless resources with unlimited energy can be exploited. This paper introduces RF sources how a WEH unit works and what are the protocols used in each layer of the protocol stack with the help of the Network Simulator application and implementation of LEACH protocol to improve the battery life of the sensor node. With a significant improvement in the remaining and consumed energy of sensor nodes within the network, with an average accuracy increase of 5–6.
